Let’s dive into the step-by-step process to build your first intro.

1. Open your video playback page.

2. Navigate to the Edit Your Video section.
3. Click on Intro Maker to open the panel.

3. A video intro suggested template will appear, with auto-selected length (default: 5 seconds).
4. Preview your changes in real-time.

Add and edit text content #

Text is the star of most intros; use it to display titles, credits, or calls-to-action.

1. In the Intro Maker panel template, select the text you want to edit and either edit it directly or in the Text Content field.

2. Click Add Text if you want to add another text block.

3. Change the text style: font, size, etc.

• Font Family: Choose from options like “DM Sans” (default) via the dropdown.
• Font Size: Adjust with the slider or input (e.g., 20px for subtitles, 64px for headlines).
• Font Weight: Select Normal, Bold, or others to emphasize key words.
• Text Color: Click the color picker to choose from a palette.
• Background Color: Add a semi-transparent overlay for readability (optional).
• Background Transparency: Toggle the slider (0–100%) for subtle effects.

Configure background and visual elements #

A strong background sets the mood, keep it simple to avoid being distracted from your text.

1. Under Background Source, toggle between Color and Image.

• Color: Click the color swatch to open the picker.
  • Use HEX/RGB sliders (e.g., #93EEFF for a light blue) or the spectrum grid.
  • Preview opacity with the transparency circle.

• Image: Upload your background image from your device.

2. Set Intro Length (Seconds): Drag the slider (3s–5s) to control duration.
   • Shorter for fast-paced videos; longer for builds.

3. Click Add Image to insert icons, logos, or illustrations.

• Resize & position the image.
• Optional: adjust the Background (if applicable) and Background Transparency (0–100%).

4. Use Remove Element to delete a selected layer.

Save your intro #

1. When happy, click the big blue Save button.
2. A confirmation message will appear.

3. If this is your first time creating an intro for your video, click Save in the confirmation message.
4. If an intro already exists, click Replace Old Intro (to update) or Save (to keep both intros).

Done! Your new intro is now attached to the video.
