Settings #
Settings in dadan Recorder include essential toggles and quality controls to fine-tune your recording setup. The clean dropdown menu keeps configuration simple yet powerful.
- Show Countdown: When enabled, it displays a 3-second countdown (3-2-1) before recording starts, giving you time to prepare.

- Show Guides: When enabled, overlays alignment guides on the preview to help with framing and composition for both camera and screen share.

- Recording Quality: Dropdown selection:
- 720p (HD): Quick recording to share on the go.
- 1080p (Full HD): Sharp recordings that look great on most screens. (Default)
- 2K (Quad HD): Enhanced detail for larger monitors.

Recording #
- Record: When you click the Record button, a countdown (3-2-1) begins, giving you time to prepare. The preview frame activates, showing the selected Ratio, Layout, and Background.

- During recording: A small overlay timer displays elapsed time. The PIP (Picture-in-Picture) option, if enabled, allows simultaneous screen and webcam capture, adjustable in size and position.

- Stop: Click Stop to end the session. The video auto-uploads to the Personal Library, with a progress bar appearing during processing.

- If you want to delete the video, click the Trash button, then click Delete to confirm.

- Click Watch on Dadan to play it, or Copy Share Link to share the video link.

Practical use #
For a tutorial, start recording with the Screen Only layout. For a meeting, enable PIP to show your face alongside slides, syncing with a calendar integration. The seamless workflow, as shown in the interface, transforms raw footage into polished content in minutes, ideal for educational or business needs.
