Secure and schedule your dadan video access and privacy

Managing who can view and interact with your dadan videos is essential for maintaining privacy and protecting sensitive information, giving you complete control over video access at every stage.

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to:

• Enable password protection.
• Use link expiration.
• Schedule video publishing.

Video password protection #

To set a password protection for your video:

1. Click the Share Your Video button in the video playback screen.

2. Stay on the Share Link tab on the Share Your Video pop-up, and toggle on the option Protect This Video with a Password.

3. Create your video password in the Set Password box.
4. Click the Copy Sharable Link button below to save the password and copy the video link.

Setting video link expiration #

You can control how long your shared video link remains accessible using the Video Link Expiration setting via these options:

1. Never: The video link will remain active indefinitely unless manually deleted.
2. Set Expiry Date: Choose a specific date to deactivate the link once it expires automatically.

To set an expiry date:

1. Select the Set an Expiry Date option from the Video Link Expiration dropdown menu.
2. Click on the Set Expiry Date field to open the calendar and choose the desired expiration date.

3. Click the Sharable Link to share the video with the selected expiration date.

Once the expiry date is reached, the link will no longer be accessible.

Schedule a video #

Sometimes you only need to share a video for a limited time, whether it’s a project update, a feedback session, or a lesson for your students. With dadan, you can schedule exactly when your video becomes available and when access ends. For example, teachers can publish class recordings for a specific week, then automatically unpublish them once the lesson is over.

To schedule publishing a video:

1. Go to the Edit Your Video section and click the Schedule icon.
2. Choose the Enable Schedule option.
3. Select Publishing Start Date and Publishing End Date.
4. Click Save Schedule.
