While you’re recording with dadan, the recording bar gives you powerful tools to make your videos clearer, more interactive, and easier to control.
This guide will walk you through the recording bar options available in both the browser extension and the desktop app.
Browser extension recording bar features #
While recording with the browser extension, you’ll see a black control bar at the bottom of your screen.
- Click the double arrow button on the recording bar to reveal more controls while recording.
This will expand the bar with the following features:
- Timer: See how long you’ve been recording at a glance.
- Pause/resume: Temporarily pause and resume your recording at any time.
- Annotation tools: Use the pencil button to draw, write, or add emojis to your screen.
- Mouse pointer styles: Use the mouse icon to change your pointer appearance for better visibility.
- Cancel or restart: Click the three dots […] to show more options, including canceling or restarting your recording.

Desktop app recording bar features #
The dadan desktop app offers a similar recording white toolbar with helpful controls:
- Timer: Keep track of how long you’ve been recording.
- Pause/resume: Temporarily stop and continue your recording.

- Reset recording: Cancel your current recording and start fresh.
